A safe space for young people to socialise and get involved in a range of activities and opportunities and access support.
It is young people led which means that the ideas and views of the members often shape the activities and projects undertaken. It is staffed by experienced and qualified staff and our purpose-built facility offers lots of space for different activities including: sports, gaming, arts & crafts, music and cooking.
Age group: Young people aged 13 to 19 years
Barnsley Safe Places
Barnsley Safe Places welcomes anyone over the age of 16 to join as a member. Anyone can feel unsafe or unsure whilst out and about if something goes wrong. The venues available in Barnsley have been trained to be welcoming and helpful to anyone and everyone. There are a variety of venues such as libraries and cafes so you can find a quiet place by yourself or get help.
