Description
The Men in Sheds project is a place where practically minded older men can come together and have a chat over tea and biscuits while learning new skills and carrying out meaningful, practical activities.
The Shed is a safe, supportive and friendly place for older men to meet, socialise, do a bit of light work or busy themselves doing a hobby in a workshop space with access to woodworking tools and equipment.
The Shed supports men aged 50 and over who may have experienced life changing events such as redundancy, retirement, bereavement and mental or physical ill-health. There are various sessions throughout the week and Shedders can drop-in as much or as little as they wish.
Please contact us for more information. Come along and have a look for yourself!
If you are interested in volunteering, we do have opportunities to assist in running a creative, enjoyable and safe environment for members to enjoy their hobbies whilst having someone to talk to and support them.
