BARNSLEY & DISTRICT ART SOCIETY

The Barnsley and District Art Society was founded in 1935 and has been going strong ever since. We have a mixture of demonstration evenings by professional artists and studio evenings to work on themes together or do our own work.

Members work in all kinds of medium, including pencil, pastel, ink, watercolour, acrylic and textile.

We are an inclusive society and welcome new members of all ages and abilities. Your first Studio evening as a visitor is free. 

We also have workshops, gallery visits and sketching trips and we exhibit our work at local galleries.
