Barnsley Libraries offer a variety of volunteering opportunities across our sites. By volunteering with us you will be working as part of a team to engage with the local community to help them make the most of library services.
This could involve supporting our Readers’ Groups, helping children grasp the basics of coding, welcoming people to our author events or working with families at our holiday activities. We offer regular volunteering opportunities and occasional ‘one-offs’. We will work with you to help you find a role that fits your life and help you gain confidence and new skills.
We also offer school work experience and Duke of Edinburgh Placements.
