Description
Thurnscoe Regeneration is a community charity and our aim is to create a better future for our village and help people feel more connected.
We help make positive things happen in Thurnscoe. From events and activities that bring people together, to looking after the Community Plaza and improving our green spaces.
We are building on the work of Big Local Thurnscoe, a 10-year programme that came to an end in 2024. We are moving forward and ready to respond to new challenges and new opportunities.
Key Objectives
- Providing opportunities for people to enjoy community facilities in the village such as the Community Plaza, and to make sure that everyone is welcome
- Holding events across the year to help bring the community together and promote health and wellbeing for all residents
- Increasing opportunities for people to learn new skills and access training, especially for those who are unemployed
CIO trustees will continue to consult with and respond to the needs of the local community, identify key stakeholders and maximise partnership working across the public and private sectors for the benefit of Thurnscoe residents.
