Description

ITEC are able to deliver the BTEC Level 2 course in Customer Service. At the end of the course you will receive a Certificate in the Principles of Customer Service. No prior knowledge, understanding, skills or qualifications are required before a student can register for this qualification but must be over the age of 19 (no upper age limit), currently unemployed and not attending any other funded learning.

The objectives of the qualification: The Pearson BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Customer Service provide Students with underpinning occupational knowledge and skills as well as wider knowledge and skills to support students' employability and career progression in the sector. The qualification is suitable for students who may be seeking work with in the customer service sector or who may already be employed in a customer service to cross-sector service-related role. It is also appropriate for up skilling individuals who are employed in a role that is predominantly operational or a skilled trade occupation, but which includes responsibility for delivering customer service functions directly to customers.

The qualification allows the student to gain the right level of occupational knowledge in customer service - 'the basics of customer service' - that appropriately complements a larger sector or industry - specific qualification and learning programme.

It gives students the opportunity to: 

  • Develop occupational knowledge and skills in communicating with customers, handling customer problems, supporting customer service improvements and direct selling. 
  • Develop knowledge and skills that support employability and career progression, including personal development, health and safety at work, rights and responsibilities at work and understanding employer organisations. 
  • Achieve a nationally recognised Level 2 qualification. 
  • Achievement of this qualification prepares students for employment in the customer service sector.

The course will last for 10 days, Monday to Friday (delivered over two weeks), hours of attendance are 10.00am - 3.00pm. Light refreshments and reimbursed travel expenses are included. On completion students will receive a Pearson BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Customer Service, a £20 achievement voucher and support and guidance onto next steps.
