Who we are

Butterflies Dementia Support and Activities Group - Friendship afternoons for people and carers affected by dementia.

butterflies dementia support and activities group Logo

Specialising in people living with dementia and isolated people.

'Hello', I care for my dad who has dementia. I formed Butterflies, as I believe passionately that remaining active has helped keep my dad who is today. At times I have found this quite challenging, however it doesn't need to be. We meet several times every week for a range of activities and support. I try to encourage anyone to attend so that other isolated people feel welcome, which in turn brings a true sense of normality for everyone. I am always looking for new ways to support people in the same or similar situation to my dad and I.

Join us for our friendship afternoons where we enjoy music, dancing, games and professional entertainment together and of course, there is always tea and cakes!

We are currently meeting three times a week and as we are adhering to Covid-19 regulations we are meeting in smaller groups so we are afraid that it is 'invitation only' but we are hoping to be  back to full groups in June.

If you would like to join us or would like to know more, please ring Julie.
