Who we are

Carlton tenants and residents are a community group that come together to make Carlton a great place to live.

Carlton Village Community Group, also known as Carlton TARA, is now run by three local people John, Gemma and Kath who have lived in Carlton for many years. They have run the group for over ten years and with the help of other residents they have quite a history of achievements these include:

  • Provision of the yearly Christmas tree ·
  • Restoring the War memorial in the church grounds
  • Fitting of a new kitchen and decoration within the pavilion
  • Wildflower planting in Carlton Primary School
  • Wildflower planting in the park, with the help of The Friends of Carlton Park
  • Tree planting on Fish Dam Lane with the help of Carlton Community College
  • Handing out winter warmer packs to the elderly residents in the village ·
  • Successfully run two gala’s in Carlton Park.

We offer advice to local people aiming to increase a sense of belonging and community spirit.
