Description

Citizens Advice Barnsley is an independent local charity that has been delivering advice to people living in Barnsley and surrounding areas since 1964.

We support local people with multiple interlinked issues, and provide advice in all areas of law including:

  • Debt and money worries
  • Benefits Claims
  • Consumer and Energy problems
  • Employment and redundancy issues
  • Relationships problems
  • Housing concerns

We work to stabilise people's finances by supporting client with income maximisation and debt management work as well as facilitating access to emergency charitable support, including food parcels, fuel vouchers and shopping vouchers.

There are lots of ways of getting in touch with us for advice:

Telephone adviceline: You can access advice by telephone by calling our Freephone number 0800 144 88 48. Phone lines are open Monday to Friday, from 9am to 5pm

Online Contact form: Barnsleycab.org.uk/contact-us/ fill our the online contact form to receive a response via email. (usually within 2 working days, however at busy times this may be slightly longer)

Advice via Video Call: 01226 666017 To book a video advice appointment, please call this number and leave a message.  An adviser will call you back within 2 working days to arrange an appointment.

Face-to-Face Advice: You can access face-to-face advice at many drop-in outreach sessions across Barnsley.
