This is a great rural location for those seeking places to walk or ride bikes: you can stroll directly from the farm into woodlands and green countryside or set out to see places like Pot House Hamlet and the historic site of the Huskar Pit disaster. The Silkstone Waggonway is close by for cyclists and walkers, and more intrepid bike riders might like to note that this farm is just off the Trans Pennine Trail (roughly at its halfway point, in fact). And of course, the Peak District National Park is but a few miles away.
