DEARNE ELECTRONIC COMMUNITY VILLAGE (DECV) - EMPLOYABILITY AND ICT SKILLS

Dearne Electronic Community Village runs Employability / ICT projects alongside our localised Workclub, into which a range of providers refer unemployed clients who live in the local area of the Dearne.

All learners achieve an Award in ICT / Life and living skills) and receive 1 to 1 or small group ICT and employability skills support.

They are also able to:

• Improve Basic & Key skills - ICT Entry 3 with progression available with Maths/English provision available in centre.
• Increase Motivation, confidence and interpersonal skills - Each individual will receive a bespoke learning journey, working in a small group or if needed 1 to 1, to foster and encourage soft outcomes.
• Improve Employability - Through the development of professional CV's, improving interview techniques, providing online job search training, Entry ICT skills, access to outreach A&G worker, actively engaging learners in job search activities with weekly targets.
