Who we are

An opportunity to train members of your organisation to become a Digital Champion to support your service users to develop the digital skills needed to access support, services, training or employment.

Digital skills can be a lifeline, especially at this time.

  • 87% say being online helps them connect with family and friends
  • 55% say it helps them feel more part of a community
  • 44% say it helps them manage their physical and mental well-being.

The recent pandemic has highlighted the extent to which digital exclusion is still prevalent in Barnsley, exacerbating social isolation, presenting a barrier to accessing goods and services online, as well as employment opportunities and support.

This project aims to support Barnsley's third sector and community-based organisations to train up their own Digital Champions to support services users to develop the digital skills needed to access support, services, training or employment.
