Supported outdoor activities for adults with learning disabilities including gardening, construction and caring for animals.

Description

We are a Care Farm working with all abilities and especially vulnerable people, informed by Permaculture principles of Earth Care, People Care and Fair Shares.

Are you looking for an interesting, fun and healthy activity?  Greave House Farm Trust in Stocksbridge may be just the place for you.

Some of the things you could be supported to do:

  • Looking after rabbits and guinea pigs
  • Feeding the sheep,
  • Filling up water tubs for the geese
  • Grooming a horse
  • Collecting eggs from the chickens
  • Filling up bird feeders and sitting in the bird hide
  • Planting and growing fruit and vegetables
  • Picking the food to cook, bake and make jam
  • Selling produce on a stall
  • Beekeeping and extracting honey
  • Independent living skills
  • Creative crafts,
  • Enjoying social events

Do you have other ideas of what you would like to do? We will try and include them.

If you have a personal budget we charge £40 per day

We are in walking distance from public transport but we can also pick you up from the bus stop or you can arrange your own transport.
