Description
Our friendly neighbourhood group aims to educate ourselves and others how to grow food to eat and to enjoy ourselves trying!
We are an active allotment where we grow vegetables. We are involved in sowing seeds, planting, potting and harvesting fresh vegetables, fruit, salad and berries, whilst working as green and environmentally friendly as possible. We are part of #togetherfortheplant.
We also have a quiet garden area with a pond and seating which has been left to it's natural habitat. For a friendly face, there is our tea hut, where we can have a good chat over a cuppa.
Being part of the Harborough Hills Community group will give you the opportunity to
- Learn gardening skills.
- Get active! gardening is a great source of exercise, getting plenty of fresh air and being at one with nature as well as helping with mobility.
- Attend, and/or help at our social events and meet new people.
- Get the children involved too!
It is a chance to get some fresh air and have a glimpse at nature.
