IVY COTTAGE (ACKTON) LTD - IVY LODGE, RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT FOR PEOPLE WITH LEARNING DISABILITIES AND COMPLEX NEEDS

Ivy Care is a specialist care provider supporting people with learning disabilities and complex needs within residential settings. There are two homes in Barnsley, Ivy Mead in Lundwood and Ivy Lodge in Thurnscoe.

Our aim is to enable people with learning disabilities to live as independently as possible by receiving the care and support consistent with their individual needs whilst using a progressive approach. We embrace lifelong learning and provide responsive and flexible support packages to help empower the individual to achieve their goals, dreams and aspirations.

We are able to support adults with a number of different support needs.

People who use our services usually have a primary diagnosis of having a learning disability but often have other associated needs to include the following: 

• Emotional and physical needs.
• Mental Health / Dual diagnosis
• Autistic Spectrum Disorder
• Personality Disorder
• Down’s Syndrome
• Forensic history 
• Communication difficulties 
• Sensory needs 
• Respite needs
• Emergency / Crisis support Aims and Objectives:

Services are available in both West and South Yorkshire and are delivered and managed by the individual registered homes service managers.
