Who we are

A new service has been launched by Listening Ear to support anyone in South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw who have been bereaved during the Covid-19 Pandemic

Description

Listening Ear is a service for anyone who has lost a loved one and who needs support, advice or guidance.

This is accessible through a Freephone number and the service offers meaningful support, advice and guidance when it's needed most.  Although it's not a counselling service, it will be delivered by trained counsellors who understand the difficulties and turmoil faced when someone loses a loved one.

This free service is open to self-referral as well as taking referrals from emergency services, GP's or a range of frontline services, including:

  • Self
  • Police
  • Primary Care Staff
  • Hospital bereavement services
  • Mortuary staff
  • Funeral directors
  • Coroner's office
  • GP's
  • Crematorium and bereavement services staff

Referrals can also be made through the website on the online referral form.
