NECA, in partnership with GambleAware provides a range of FREE gambling information, gambling advice and gambling support options for anyone affected by Gambling Harms.
If you are concerned about your gambling or another person’s gambling, then NECA are here to help. We work in partnership with GambleAware, providing a range of free gambling information, gambling advice and gambling support for anyone negatively impacted by gambling harms.
We provide a range of short and longer term gambling advice and gambling support options either over the phone or face-to-face across the North East, Yorkshire and Humber.
If you are concerned about your gambling or you are a friend or family member needing support, you can talk to us. Our services are free, flexible and confidential. Our Gambling service support team will provide you with the relevant information and will refer you to other sources of help if our services are not suitable to your needs.
What happens next?
Initially we will take your details and arrange for one of our Yorkshire & Humber Gambling Practitioners to contact you for an assessment – this is for you and us to establish how we can best support you to achieve your goals. We will then work with you to create a recovery care plan to meet your individual needs.
We use a variety of gambling advice and gambling support methods to equip you with tools and coping strategies to enable you to make positive changes to your gambling behaviours.
These include, but are not limited to:
- Psychosocial, emotional wellbeing intervention
- Support groups
- Relapse prevention
- Brief intervention
- Sign posting
- Self-help resources
