Description
The Penistone Cinema Organ Trust was founded by Kevin Grunill in 1999. The Compton organ remained in storage since its purchase in 1994 and it was not until a new home was found for the organ that the Trust was formed. Since then the trust has gone from strength to strength.
We now present a lunchtime concert every Thursday at The Astoria Centre featuring Compton Cinema Organ. The weekly concerts consist of 2 x 30 minutes spots, with a 25 minute interval.
Refreshments are available before the concert and during the interval from the tea bar. Enjoy a varied variety of music ranging from marches, show-tunes, ballads and light classics and a sociable pleasant afternoon of music & friendship.
