U3A - CLASSICAL STUDIES

This group meets every Friday morning at Emmanuel Church. For the first half we read a Greek play, while Jeremy, our co-ordinator takes us through the finer points of it. We read it in English, of course. After the tea break we learn Latin, from a book with simple cartoons, not a bit like learning Latin at school.

Most of us have done nothing like it before, and we love it.
