U3A - CROWN GREEN BOWLING, CARLTON

Crown green bowling is played every Thursday morning from the end of March until the end of the season in September at Carlton Bowling Club. Due to new regulations from the BCGBA body, bowlers at any bu3a organised group have to be associate or casual bowlers of that club if not already full members.

This is friendly, social bowling so for those who would like to try it all you need is a pair of flat shoes or trainers as there are bowls of all weights there for you to use. Directions: To get there, park in the car park across the road from Carlton church, the entrance to the club is down a leafy path at the bottom left hand side of the car park. You can see the club house from the car park.
