Description
The group started in 2008 and meets monthly to visit local nature reserves, woodlands, parkland, rivers, canals, and lakes.
Visits last about 2 hours and we walk no more than 2 miles. We aim to identify whatever trees, flowers, fungi, butterflies, moths, insects and other wildlife we can find. The variety of habitats and species to be found within a few miles of Barnsley town centre has been a revelation.
During the winter months we arrange various talks.
Opening Times
2nd Thursday of the month at 1.30pm
