Description

SOUND BATH can be a deeply relaxing and calming experience.

Participants are literally ‘bathed’ in sound waves produced by various instruments e.g. crystal bowls, Tibetan bowls, chimes, drums, to name but a few.

The ‘music’ created doesn’t have a catchy melody like other music, but instead is a carefully selected wash of sounds with notable resonance and overtones.

The intention is to alter the energy of the participants, particularly the ‘busy’ part of the mind which is difficult to stop. So no repeated patterns of sound that the brain will quickly recognise, instead it’s to lead the participants to relaxation and the brain to ‘let go’!

This is not a new thing; sound has been used for thousands of years to soothe the mind, body and spirit.

The benefits can be: relaxation and ‘letting go’ with an increased sense of well-being.

Sound Bath 1 - takes place at our newest venue, Storefirst, Ashroyd Business Park, Barnsley S74 9SB. It has comfortable chairs and a good acoustic and a break-out room with free tea and coffee that can be used after the ‘Sound Bath’ session.

Sound Bath 2 - This second group takes place at Alder Close Community Centre, Staincross, Barnsley S75 6JA
