At Highfield Farm we support ten people with learning disabilities and associated mental health problems.
We can support autistic people and other individuals who have varying needs, such as Prader-Willi Syndrome, Down's syndrome, Rett syndrome and bipolar affective disorder. Individuals enjoy an independent lifestyle attending college, working in the local community and volunteering in the local charity shops.
The local area has good leisure and sporting facilities that are friendly and acceptant of people with disabilities and run special screening at the cinema and also have days designed specially for people with disabilities. We are also linked to the local Mencap provision and enjoy many of their social activities as well as holding our own entertainment and fun days at Highfield Farm. There are good transport links to nearby towns and places of interest.
We have two spacious lounges, dining room, a fully equipped kitchen and open reception area where families can visit in a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere. All the bedrooms have ensuite facilities and each room is decorated to their own needs and choices. Everyone is encouraged to practice their daily living skills in a safe environment
Highfield Farm is set in large gardens with a greenhouse and a summer house where people can chill out and relax. Also in the grounds are three villas where individuals can continue to build their independence safe with access to staff 24 hours a day.
