Description
The LimBo Foundation was formed following the birth of Tommy D in 2014. He was born missing his right hand and part of his forearm. We were feeling bewildered and wanted to create a community where no limb different child or family were left feeling isolated.
We have worked with families for the past seven years and have identified key times when people need support and have created booklets and posters in the hope that the stories from families who have navigated some of these points might help new families.
We also host events each year:
- Our weekend camp of adventure for all the family
- Adventure day
- Christmas
- Mini Meets.
Youth Ambassadors
We have our youth ambassadors who have volunteered for their role. They may have a limb difference or have a sibling who has a limb difference. They support Team LimbBo, this can range from public events, speaking in schools, receiving donations, trialling products, helping at events and supporting their peers.
We are also able to help with bike adaptation, we have proudly helped over 50 different children to learn to ride during 2024. Our bike cups are supplied free of charge and we can't wait to do this again.
