RAINBOW CARE GROUP - SPECIALIST DEMENTIA DAY SERVICES

The Rainbow Care Group was established in 2014. Our mission is to change the way that Dementia Care is delivered around the UK.

We run specialist day care clubs for those living with dementia (and related conditions), within their local communities. We are proud to have received 7 national care awards in recognition of our unique service and now operate from over 20 regions throughout the UK, making positive changes to the lives of hundreds of members.

As a respite service, we are enabling loved ones to remain living at home, reducing the need for care homes, and relieving the burden on social services. Some of our members attend one or two clubs per week, whilst others attend daily. Our clubs run Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm, across our area offering a variety of daily day club settings, enabling us to provide the ‘best fit’ location for every member.

We will have sports club settings, appealing to the sports enthusiasts where members can enjoy familiar surroundings, with like- minded friends, enjoying sports focussed activities and entertainment. Additionally. we will have rural based clubs with nature and animals to spark joy and ‘general’ club settings based typically in local community centres, church hubs etc.

Whilst based at these club locations and running many of the activities ourselves; we regularly welcome guest entertainers, from ex sports pro speakers, wildlife/bird talks, musicians, dancing for wellbeing etc and enjoy trips out on our minibus for lunches, bowling, market days, cinema and seaside trips.

Our clubs are fun, diverse, and as active as possible. Many of our members are now enjoying a more active social life whilst living with dementia, than they may have led before! True friendships are made between our members and their families meeting others walking a familiar path.

We welcome both private and state funded clients, we do personal care, a medication service, and a transport service for those who need it. All our team members are dementia specialists who have chosen to work in dementia care and our high staff ratio’s enable us to deliver true personal led care.

Our fees are all inclusive of a breakfast snack, unlimited drinks and snacks, a 2-course lunch, and all activities whether in or out of the club; we can provide transport for an additional charge. We offer a free Taster Day for anyone interested in our care so they can meet our team, look at our clubs and see how we do things a little differently at Rainbow!

We take detailed information before anyone visits our groups, shared with all team members, to help us plan a meaningful, enjoyable day for those attending a Taster Day and make the transition as smooth as possible.
