This previously forgotten Grade II* listed glasshouse, formerly Lady Rockingham's Tea Room, will finally be opening its doors for guests to enjoy a range of international small plates alongside delicious global teas. 

With special thanks to the National Lottery Heritage Fund, Historic England, all other funders and of course our dedicated team at Wentworth Woodhouse for making this restoration dream possible!

Butler's Pantry Café  - Tuesday - Sunday 

The Butler’s Pantry Café on the ground floor of the house is a warm and welcoming environment, perfect for a light-bite with friends or a sweet treat after a walk around our house and gardens. With new items being added to our menu each season, why not pop in next time you’re in the area – you don’t need a House & Gardens ticket for the Butler’s Pantry!

Ghost Tours by Candlelight

Various Dates, 6.00pm-7.15pm & 7.30pm-8.45pm

I ain’t afraid of no ghost!

Step into the shadows of Wentworth Woodhouse for a candlelit tour through some of its most intriguing rooms. Hear eerie tales of unexplained happenings as you explore the House after dark – perfect for those curious about the paranormal without braving an overnight investigation.

WENTWORTH TOUR - From beginnings right through to the present day - Selected dates and times

Discover the formal State Rooms of Wentworth Woodhouse and its vast history with a Wentworth Tour, led by one of our enthusiastic and knowledgeable guides. The tour encompasses the rise and fall of the house from its beginnings in the 1600s to its time as a family home and teacher training college, right through to the present day and the work of the Wentworth Woodhouse Preservation Trust.

As you journey through the State Rooms, see first-hand the splendour of this 18th Century house still intact after a chequered past.

HEAD GARDENERS TOURS - Selected dates and Times

Join our Head Gardener, Scott Jamieson, for a tour of our Gardens on our new Head Gardener Tour. Take in the seasonal delights followed by a Q&A session in one of our Garden Cabins, with refreshments provided (breakfast roll on Morning Tours and cream tea on Afternoon Tours).

Morning Tour: 9.30-11.00am

Afternoon Tour: 1.30-3.00pm

• Please come dressed appropriately as things can get a little muddy in the Gardens and the ground is often uneven underfoot.

Step inside Wentworth Woodhouse’s historic libraries, transformed into an inviting space filled with Chesterfield sofas, the warm glow of lamplight, and shelves brimming with books - the perfect winter escape. (A ticket for the house and gardens is required)

The Top to Bottom Tour

Back by popular demand! Join us for the return of our sell-out Top to Bottom Guided Tour which includes exclusive access to the vaulted cellars and attic rooms (usually off-limits to the public!) This tour will share stories of parties in the cellars, family lives on the upper floors, and includes access to some of our more derelict areas awaiting restoration.

Thursdays 11am, Fridays 1.30pm, Saturdays 11am & 1.30pm.

Adult: £25.00
Child: £12.50

• The Top to Bottom Tour runs for approximately 90 minutes.
• The Top to Bottom Tour explores areas that aren’t on the public route. You will go from the cellars at the very bottom of the House to the attics at the very top.
• Your tour ticket includes House & Gardens general admission on the day of your tour (typically £15.50). Subject to opening dates and times.
