Description

Circle dancing is something we at BIADS are passionate about, it is a dance form practised throughout the world but here in Barnsley the steps have been especially adapted for people affected by dementia.

Our circle dancing is for couples (people with dementia and their carers).  It is a session for both of you to enjoy together, where you can meet and talk to other couples and reminisce about the good old days.  Staff are on hand to guide topics each week and provide video clips and memorabilia.  In between discussions you can enjoy slow moving circle dances to our lovely calming music, don't worry we will show you what to do!

The dance steps are easy and the music is soothing, the joy is being together and letting our cares drift away, in the company of new friends.

Booking is required for this service, please speak to a member of our activity team.

Opening Times
