BIADS - DEMENTIA DAY CARE CENTRE

it is finally here, everyone. After all the hard work we are proud to announce that BIAD's day care centre will be opening at the weekends soon.  We will start with Saturdays and then look at opening on Sundays depending on demand. Please contact us on 01226 280057 to register your interest.

Our day centre is a warm and welcoming space that has a home from home feel.  Our staff have lots of experience working in in care and supporting people with Dementia.

We offer full days, half days and pay per hour, please contact the centre manager for more information on the cost of day care.  Included in the cost are all activities, breakfast and lunch including drinks and biscuits, there is no extra charge for this.

We have a range of stimulating activities, we like to ask the members what they would like to do on the day, this gives members lots of choice, and we have activities for everyone's needs, from baking to art and crafts and much more.

We are able to offer personal care as our staff are trained and experienced to deal with any incontinence needs, we also have a walk in shower if this is required.

You do not need to be referred, just contact the centre manager for an assessment or an informal visit for a cuppa and a chat.

Unfortunately we are unable to offer transport at this time but some of our members use Dial a Ride, this is a wheelchair access and is door to door service.

BIADS receives no statutory funding and relies solely on fundraising activities including donations, corporate, community, grants, trusts and legacies so if you would like to support BIADS with their work, please scan the QR code below.

Due to the rising cost of postage stamps, the cost of sending a large second class envelope is now £1.55.  For this reason if anyone is able to receive our newsletter by email could you please ring and et us know on 01226 280057.  We will gladly continue sending newsletters by post to those  who do not wish to receive their newsletter by email.
