Thurnscoe Park is in the centre of the village on the B6411 about eight miles from Barnsley town centre.

The park doesn’t have its own car park.

Just to the side of Thurnscoe Park is the Hickleton Sports Ground, which offers:

• sports court
• bowling
• football

If you’re travelling by car, you can park in the Netto supermarket car park which is next to the main entrance to the park on Houghton Road (B6411).

Buses 203, 219 and 226 stop at the main entrance to the park on Houghton Road. They run approximately every 15 minutes.

You can get a train every hour between Sheffield, Leeds and Doncaster. The station is on Houghton Road about 500 metres from the park.
