Description
Join walk leader Sharon and the lovely group for a sociable stroll along the Trans Pennine Trail, starting and finishing on the bench next to the skate park, behind the Tesco Superstore.
This route has a good surface that is flat and on even ground. This route rarely gets muddy and is suitable for all abilities, buggies, wheelchairs, and mobility scooters. This walk has up to 4 walk leaders which means you can walk at your own pace and choose the length of the walk that suits you. The walk is up to 1 hour 30 minutes long, walking up to the 'White Cottage' and back again. Alternatively, you can walk to the halfway point and turn back, meeting everyone back at the start point. This walk is dog friendly. Join the group for refreshments and lunch at one of the local cafes post-walk.
There is a free car park behind Tesco Superstore, then walk down past the stake park to the meeting point. Alternatively, catch the 25, 25a or 26 bus that drops you off next to Tesco Superstore and walk down to the meeting point.
