Description
Established in 1984 to help keep the community together during the miners strike and the later loss of the colliery, the Darfield Companions still meet fortnightly.
As well as the original group, new members have been welcomed over the years and anyone is free to drop in and join us.
We hold games, quizzes and bingo and we also have guest speakers and trips out. We occasionally have a shared afternoon tea. Drop in or contact us to join us.
