At Newsome Vale we offer high quality one and two bedroom apartments for people aged55 and over. Our aim is simple to make your life as easy, comfortable and enjoyable as it can be.

Our apartments mean couples can stay together, live as independently as they wish and of
course, feel at home.

Support we offer

To help make getting around your new home easier we’ve made sure all of our rooms have level access, come equipped with a wet room and there’s lift access on every floor.

There’s also a range of activities put on daily by our on-site wellbeing facilitators, including:
• Arts and crafts
• Quiz nights
• Chair aerobics
• Book club
• Bingo

Eligibility and making a referral

Newsome Vale is part of the LiveWell group of services at South Yorkshire Housing Association. They provide care and support across South Yorkshire.

To be eligible for a place at Newsome Vale you must be on Barnsley Council’s housing waiting list.
