Post 16 Education Reds in the Community offers Level 1, 2, 3 and Apprenticeship Sports Courses during the year covering a range of abilities for local young people aged 16 – 19. This venue is part of the Barnsley Safe Places Scheme.

Description

Reds in the Community is a registered charity delivering community and charitable activities on behalf of Barnsley Football Club. We use the power of football and Barnsley Football Club to engage and improve the lives of local people. Professional football clubs are at the hearts of their communities, not just geographically but more importantly emotionally. They have a unique connection and draw that enables them to reach further and wider than others.

Post 16 Education Reds in the Community offers Level 1, 2, 3 and Apprenticeship Sports Courses during the year covering a range of abilities for local young people aged 16 – 19. The alternative learning environment of a professional football club boasting outstanding sporting facilities continues to prove highly engaging and successful in retaining young people in learning and supporting their progression into employment or further training.

Barnsley Safe Places

Barnsley Safe Places welcomes anyone over the age of 16 to join as a member. Anyone can feel unsafe or unsure whilst out and about if something goes wrong. The venues available in Barnsley have been trained to be welcoming and helpful to anyone and everyone. There are a variety of venues such as libraries and cafes so you can find a quiet place by yourself or get help.
