Description

St Mary's Choir is a 4 part (soprano, alto, tenor, bass,) that has a busy schedule of music throughout the year and often makes guest appearances in other churches, having sung in Ripon Cathedral, Sandringham parish church and Bolton Abbey.

We sing regularly at St Mary's at the morning service and practice each week. Through the Haigh-Stratford Trust we are able to offer free musical education to young people up to 30 years of age.

No previous musical experience is necessary and you do not need to be able to read music.

There is a sung services every Sunday at 11.00am. There is an evening service currently takes place the first Sunday of the month at 6.30pm.  There is now a Community Choir at 12.15pm for approximately 1 hour on a Sunday following the refreshments after the morning service.

Choir practice takes place:-

Thursday 7.30pm - 9pm

Leading up to major services and festivals, there may be some variations to the times shown above. However, we are very flexible and understand that choristers are unable to commit to every service and choir practice throughout the year.

Singing is very rewarding and lifelong friendships are fostered.
