AGE UK BARNSLEY - TOGETHER IN CUDWORTH FOR OLDER PEOPLE

We will work with older people who feel isolated to identify ways of addressing this e.g. by having someone visit them in their own home, helping with transport etc. This is a free service and available to anyone over the age of 50 in Cudworth and thesurrounding communities. At the same time we are also looking for volunteers for a range of roles in this area. This may mean helping to run a group, supporting an event, befriending someone who is feeling lonely and isolated, helping someone with their shopping, collecting prescriptions etc. Volunteering can be a brilliant way of meeting others and looking afteryour wellbeing. We will talk to you about what you feel you can offer and tailor the experience to you. Your input could be regular or occasional depending on what suits you.We will really appreciate your support.
