U3A - TEN PIN BOWLING

This group was originally set up to help fill the Monday morning void left by the winter closure of the Crown Green Bowling Groups, but is now running every week all year round. A second Tenpin-Bowling Group playing on Thursday mornings, started in 2014.

With a start time of 10.00am we normally have the lanes to ourselves for the majority of the session. There is still plenty of room for other members who want to give it a try and with a reduced price of £7.60 (£3.80 per game), which includes hire of bowling shoes and is a saving of £0.50 per game against the normal prices. During school holidays there are usually even cheaper prices.

It’s a good morning’s entertainment. If you’ve not played before or haven’t played for years, and want to come along to try it, just turn up at 9.45-ish and talk to the Co-ordinator.

Members are randomly placed in teams by the Co-ordinator in order to bring an element of competition between the various teams.
