Description
We provide a welcoming and supportive environment where every learner is valued as an individual. Our personalised curriculum focuses on developing the skills needed for adulthood, from building confidence and independence at home and in the community to gaining qualifications, exploring interests and preparing for employment.
Learners follow one of our three Pathways: Adult Life and Independence, Vocational or Employability. Learning is tailored to individual needs, interests and aspirations, helping each learner work towards meaningful personal goals.
Recognising progress and achievement
We use RARPA (Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement) to recognise and record each learner’s progress, celebrating achievements and supporting development in areas such as:
Independence and daily living skills
Confidence, wellbeing and personal development
Community participation and independent travel
Communication and relationships
Work readiness and employability
Social skills and preparation for adulthood
Qualifications and areas of learning
Depending on their Pathway and individual goals, learners can develop practical skills and work towards qualifications in areas including animal and land-based studies, business and employability, Functional Skills in English and maths, sport and fitness, hospitality and catering, and creative and expressive arts.
With sites across South Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire, learners benefit from practical learning opportunities in a range of settings to help prepare them for a more independent and fulfilling future.
