NHS - SWYPT - DROP IN WOUND CARE

Alongside the Barnsley Recovery Steps breakfast club, a weekly wound are clinic is running to provide wound care support to people experiencing homelessness and rough sleeping.

Nurses from the health inclusion team at South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and Waythrough's Barnsley Recovery Steps service will be present at the clinic. They will assess wounds, provide basic treatment and offer advice while promoting self-care.

The clinic operates via a drop in facility where no appointments are necessary which may result in individuals having to wait t be seen at busy times. During this time people can visit the Barnsley Recovery Steps breakfast club for food and further support.
