CIVIC PRIDE SINGERS

Civic Pride Singers is Barnsley Civic's very own singing and social group for the local LGBTQIA+ community. The group meets twice monthly and is led by awarding winning  musician and composer, Simon Grainger.

The group is a safe place to forge new friendships and learn prideful songs. The group is accessible to disabled and neurodivergent participants, catering to those new to group singing experiences.

As members have shared: “I joined the group looking to get involved in something local and social where I would feel included and accepted as a queer neurodivergent person, and now it is the thing I look forward to the most in my life.”
