Admiral Nurse - Closer to Home Clinics are coming to Barnsley in the next few weeks and would like to invite families and carers living with dementia.
This venture is a partnership between Leeds Building Society https://www.leedsbuildingsociety.co.uk/ and Dementia UK, offering 45-minute appointments with a dementia specialist nurse in their branches. The dementia specialist nurses, called Admiral Nurses, are able to offer advice to families and carers about dementia symptoms and progression, guidance on how so support someone living with the condition and manage changes in behaviour, advice on navigating the social care system and legal issues or simply provide emotional support to family carers.

Our team will be present in the Barnsley branch of Leeds Building Society hosting awareness sessions on 7th, 8th and 9th of March where people can pop in and speak to an Admiral Nurse or Dementia UK representative.
The clinics, with bookable appointments will be held on the 14th, 15th, and 16th of March.
