FRIENDS OF WOMBWELL CEMETERY

Friends of Wombwell Cemetery aim to make the cemetery a cleaner, greener, safer space for the community by tending graves, helping people, creating a friendly environment, and a positive atmosphere throughout.

What Volunteers do

Some tasks include:

• Sweeping paths
• Weeding
• Cutting the grass of main areas
• Cleaning both Bay Memorials
• Café style roles in the Community Hub such as making and serving tea or coffee, or cleaning the facility.
• Touching up paintwork
• Locating graves on the database
• Guided tours 

The Community

The community of Wombwell are a friendly and welcoming bunch with generous hearts.  Whenever the cemetery have needed help and support the community have leapt forward to lend a helping help.  Without them, we wouldn't be where they are today.
