Our Support Hub comprises a drop-in space for adults and young people to seek support, general advice and guidance and signposting. The hub is also a ‘warm space’ offering teas and coffees when receive support. The space is also used to deliver interactive workshops. The following support is also available via the hub:
- Ask for Suzy – to help with period poverty, just ‘ask for Suzy’ to receive Free sanitary products.
- C Card – in partnership with Spectrum Community Health CIC, you can sign up for a C Card which entitles you to Free condoms and sexual health testing kits.
- Budgeting - support individuals with basic budgeting advice and their personal budget as well as signposting to other organisations, budgeting courses.
- Job Support Service - providing one-to-one basic help with CVS, interview prep, applications and job searching tips. Please email peterrobertshaw@hopeincommunity.co.uk to book a free appointment.
- Food Bank Referral - We act as a food bank referral agent into Barnsley Foodbank Partnership and Stairfoot Foodbank. Please fill out the form on our website https://www.hopeincommunity.co.uk/our-services or drop-in to our Support Hub.
- Fuel Poverty Support – in response to the cost-of-living crisis, (subject to funding) information and tips to support with fuel poverty is available. We may also be able to provide winter coats, School Uniform, Interview Clothes, winter warm pack
- Weekly Drop in every Tuesday 5.30-6.30 at our Shop and Support Hub 48 Market Street
