LUV2MEETU ONLINE

Luv2meetU Online is part of the Luv2meetU service and will allow people with learning disabilities and/or autism the opportunity to access an exciting range of national virtual events, offering the chance to meet new people and make friends across the UK.

You will have the opportunity to access online events using a range of digital platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and social media including Facebook

What sort of things can I get involved in?

You can join in a range of activities such as quizzes, sporting activities, cooking, craft sessions, workshops, music nights, karaoke, film/book reviews/clubs and party nights. We also run a variety of different educational workshops such as staying safe online, relationships, mental health and wellbeing as well as fun events.

Activities are based on feedback received from our people. You can put forward your ideas at regular ‘Have your say’ meetings. Events will take place at varying times including days, evenings and weekends.

What’s the next step?

To join Luv2meetU Online you will need to complete an application form and provide two references.

Once you join of Luv2meetU Online, you will receive a mixed programme of virtual events every six to eight weeks. You can contact the Luv2meetU Online Virtual Co-ordinator and choose the activities you want to do.

Helping you get online

If you need support to access the virtual events we can provide training and support in which to do this. If you require one-to-one support you will need to arrange for someone to help you during the activity. Luv2meetU Online is keen to ensure everybody that wants to, can join in. If you are struggling to afford to join please contact us to discuss how and if we may be able to help you.

How much does Luv2meetU Online cost?

To access the Luv2meetU Online service will cost £10 per month, to be paid by setting up a regular standing order with your bank. When you have joined Luv2meetU Online you can also participate in Luv2meetU face-to-face events for an extra £5 per event.
