Description
Most people use MS Word (a word processor) and Excel (numerical processing and organizing) having taken a basic course and then learned further by trial and error. But basic courses do not cover the many quick ways of carrying out actions, nor exactly how some functions work, nor some of the many other useful functions available. This group will revise basics, but look at aspects of how to get more out of these applications and answer issues that users may be finding unhelpful. A comprehensive quick-find on-computer manual is provided for each application.
This group runs online on Zoom and is also inviting members from other u3a's to join us. The course is progressive, so starting at the beginning is desirable for continuity. Three variants will be offered subject to demand – Word only (5 weeks), Excel only, (5 or 7 weeks) or combined one hour of each (10-12 weeks), each in a two hour weekly session. These are professional quality courses and contain much more than most popular courses on offer.
Places may be limited, so please reserve a place (non-committal) if you may be interested.
A summary of the topics likely to be covered are listed on sub-pages, viewed by the links to the right of the screen for each topic Word and Excel.
