Our Community Hub is an ex derelict 1867 Chapel which has been renovated into a small space for community events. In the centre of Wombwell, this is a great location to hold coffee mornings, table/stalls sales, private functions meetings and events.
Our Hub is a neat, newly renovated and modern space with our entrance hallway leading to a 17ft x 19ft main room, a kitchen, and a WC with disabled access.
We have plenty of seating and tables, electrical outlets, wall space with fittings to hang frames, and lighting that opens up the room. It would be the ideal space to host community events, private meetings, and more.
Despite its amazing renovation, our historic building - originally an 1860s chapel - still maintains its beautiful character and atmosphere with its high beamed ceiling and picturesque windows - truly a unique setting that not many venues can offer.
There is also a free car park on Cemetery Road, and a free larger car park on Summer Lane in Wombwell. (Street parking is available but we do not recommend this to accommodate for the local residents).
Opening Times
The Friends meet on Wednesday 10am - 12pm so feel free to drop in for a cuppa with a friendly face and a look round. We'll answer any queries/concerns and you can book with us in person if you'd prefer.
