Description
The Barnsley Road Club organises a monthly ride for active cyclists who wish to try out the pleasures of riding within a well-disciplined group environment, or who are returning to club cycling after a time away.
Experienced club riders will lead you at a steady pace (av. 10-12 mph) on undulating road terrain for approx 35 miles, with a café stop enroute. All you need is some experience of cycling as well as:
- Well-maintained road/hybrid bike
- Some spares and tools
- Cycling helmet
- Money for the Cafe
- Water and a snack
All Welcome Rides for 2024 depart from Barnsley Town Hall in Pals Square by the Fountains on these Sundays

It’s safer and easier to ride as a group and we’d love to welcome new riders or anyone that hasn’t been out on 2 wheels for a while and would love to get back into it again.
